Robert Podorefsky Senior Vice President, GE Interest Rate Management Group

Rob joined GE in 2005.  He is GE Capital’s Interest Rate Strategist providing corporate borrowers with a perspective on how risks in the global financial markets may impact their business.  Prior to GE, Rob was the Chief Interest Rate Strategist for the Global Rates Group at Bank of America.  In that role he wrote extensively about financial market risks and spoke frequently throughout the U.S. on the economy, interest rates and currencies. 

Prior to his role as a Market Strategist, Rob was a senior member of the global markets teams at UBS and Merrill Lynch helping large institutional investors enhance their investment yields using various types of financial instruments.  Rob began his career over 20 years ago at Chemical Bank advising large U.S. corporations on managing foreign exchange risks.

Rob earned a BA in accounting from New York University and a MBA from New York University.  He and his wife reside in Hopkinton, Massachusetts with their two children.
